Sititi, who will come off the bench, was expected to miss the Super Rugby Pacific season due to a knee injury suffered on last year's All Blacks northern tour.

The game, the first for the Chiefs at Bay Oval and the first game in the Tauranga region in 10 years, is also the 100th game for All Blacks hooker Samisoni Taukei'aho.

Chiefs coach Clayton McMillan said, "Samison has earned every one of this 100 caps through commitment to the game, and to the team. It's a special milestone, and to celebrate it on Anzac Day, in front of a sold-out crowd at Bay Oval, makes it all the more meaningful."

A hand injury has forced All Blacks playmaker and the competition's top points scorer, Damian McKenzie, out of the game. Josh Jacomb takes his place at first five-eighths.

Wing Leroy Carter is out with a foot injury, and Daniel Rona will play on the left wing.

The Force will also be down on experience with halfback Nick White, who was ruled out due to a concussion. His place is taken by Henry Robertson, who will be making his Super Rugby debut.

Prop Marley Pearce and loose forward Vaiolini Ekuasi have suffered shoulder injuries and will be replaced by Ryan Coxon and Will Harris.

In Canberra, the Brumbies and Hurricanes will contest a new trophy, the Captain Shout Cup, named in memory of Wellington-born Captain Alfred Shout, who served in the Australian Army during the First World War and was awarded a Military Cross and a Victoria Cross during the battles of the landing and Lone Pine respectively in 1915.

The Hurricanes have lost hooker Asafo Aumua, lock Isaia Walker-Leawere, second five-eighths Peter Umaga-Jensen and wing Fatafehi Fineanganofo to concussions.

However, returning midfield backs Riley Higgins and Billy Proctor will have their first start together this season.

Hurricanes coach Clark Laidlaw said, "We're looking forward to a tough game against the Brumbies.

"We're preparing well and are ready for the challenge. We've had a couple of changes this week as some of our players are returning home due to injury, but it has created opportunities for other players to come through and step up.

"It's exciting being able to compete for a cup this weekend as it's not as common in Super Rugby."

Brumbies captain Allan Alalaatoa said, "Last weekend gives us massive confidence, especially in and around the defence part of our game.

"To keep Moana Pasifika out, who are a great attacking side, was a massive effort for a lot of our boys. Especially with the discipline we showed. We had two yellow cards and still kept them to zero.

"That was a positive, but we also understand that this weekend poses a lot of different threats. It is going to be a physical game up front. You've got to earn the right to play against these blokes."
