The 22-year-old was a standout in the Hurricanes’ 17-17 draw with the Western Force, racking up 71 Fantasy points thanks to his elusive running, sharp decision-making, and ability to spark counterattacks from deep. Harkin was a constant threat with the ball in hand and proved pivotal at the back for the Canes.
It marks the second time this season a Hurricanes player has claimed Fantasy Player of the Week honours, following Kini Naholo’s 102-point explosion in Round 7.
Harkin was closely followed by teammate Fehi Fineanganofo, who crossed for two tries and tallied 68 points. The powerful wing’s finishing prowess added another dangerous dimension to the Canes' backline. Rounding out the top three was Fantasy stalwart Damian McKenzie, who continues his ultra-consistent run with 64 points for the Chiefs.
The youth surge continues to shine in 2025 Fantasy, with Harkin joining a growing list of breakout names making their mark on the leaderboard.
When it comes to average points, Fantasy Managers should keep a close eye on Jacob Ratumaitavuki-Kneepkens — he’s racked up an impressive 115 points in just two appearances for the Highlanders this season.
