The 14-series winners finished ninth at the weekend's round in Perth and have been drawn in a pool with Australia, the Perth runners-up, semifinalist South Africa, who went down to a storming Spanish side 7-14, and Ireland.

The All Blacks Sevens are seventh on 28 points, behind Fiji, Argentina and Spain each on 48 points; South Africa is fourth on 44, France is fifth on 40, and Australia sixth on 30.

The Black Ferns Sevens, who lead the series by two points from Australia, are drawn with the United States, China and Ireland.

A feature of the Vancouver women's leg will be whether two-times World Rugby's Women's Sevens player of the year Michaela Brake (nee Blyde) can break one-time World player of the year Portia Woodman Wickliffe's all-time series try-scoring record.

At Perth, she scored one try in the 29-0 win over China in the quarterfinal, four within five minutes in the 36-7 semifinal win over France and two in the 26-28 final loss to Australia.

That left her two behind Woodman Wickliffe's 256 tries.

The top five try-scorers are:

Portia Woodman-Wickliffe (NZ) 256

Michaela Brake (NZ) 247

Amee Leigh Costigan (Ire) 203

Charlotte Caslick (Aus) 184

Maddison Levi (Aus) 182

Woodman-Wickliffe is also third on the all-time points scorers list with 1280 points, with Brake now eight points behind. New Zealand's Tyla King is the all-time world points scorer with 1448 points.
