BIOGRAPHY
A product of the Hamilton Boys’ High School programme, Oli was raised in Waihi before moving to Hamilton.
He starred in the New Zealand Schools team in 2023, earning the Rugby News Jerry Collins Bronze Boot, and went on to debut for Waikato in the Bunning Warehouse NPC in 2024.
A flanker, who found himself playing on the wing, Mathis has the speed and physicality that is required for sevens.
He made an impressive debut in the black jersey at the Dubai Sevens in 2024.
