Joanah Ngan-Woo has been a mainstay in the Wellington Pride for close to a decade. Her robust and athletic displays at lock earned a berth in the Black Ferns wider training squad in 2017, a full contract in 2018 and a Test debut in 2019.
Ngan-Woo’s consistency at club level has translated into the Farah Palmer Cup for Wellington. She captained her province in 2020 and was nominated for the Fiao'o Fa'amausili Medal as Farah Palmer Cup player of the year in 2021 which saw her regain her place in the Black Ferns for the Northern Tour.
2022 has been a stella season for Ngan-Woo, as one of the strongest Black Ferns in their Pacific Four and O'Reilly Cup series wins.
Away from rugby Ngan-Woo has completed a Bachelor of Arts in social policy and education at Victoria University. She was a member of the Black Ferns victorious Rugby World Cup 2021 squad.
