The Waikato and Chiefs Manawa prop had a stellar 2022 season, impressing throughout Sky Super Rugby Aupiki and the Farah Palmer Cup.
She was selected in the Black Ferns squad for the O'Reilly Cup Test series against Australia and made her debut off the bench in the opening game in Christchurch in 2022. The athletic prop was named in the Black Ferns Rugby World Cup squad, later that year.
Unfortunately, a neck injury side-lined the Tangen-Wainohu for her 2023 and 2024 seasons.
