A player of the tournament performance at the National Sevens in 2017 saw Andrew Knewstubb catch the attention of selectors.
The young landscaper from Tasman was brought into the All Blacks Sevens camp and went on to play at eight of the ten tournaments that year.
A nippy runner with great acceleration, Knewstubb has developed into a regular selection for the All Blacks Sevens team, and was the Series top point scorer in the 2018/19 season with 309 points.
Knewstubb was part of the All Blacks Sevens team to win Commonwealth Games gold and Sevens World Cup in 2018 as well as silver at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
He played for Canterbury Tasman in the Bunnings NPC and Horowhenua Kapiti in the Heartland Championship.
An ACL injury has seen Knewstubb sideline over the past season, he is looking to return to the field in 2024.
