Sosoli Talawadua

Sosoli Talawadua joined the Black Ferns during the 2016 International Series as injury cover following on from a solid campaign with Waikato in the Farah Palmer Cup.

Sos, as she is sometimes known, made her Test debut from the bench against the Irish in Dublin and established herself as a squad member in 2017.

Originally from Wanganui, Talawadua was named in the Black Ferns 2015 squad for the International Super Series in Canada but didn’t take the field. She had been one of the standout players when Waikato made the 2014 Final and in her first three seasons at first class level has shown her versatility and utility as a squad member with her ability to play at either hooker or prop.
