New Zealand Sevens teams named for Singapore

Both teams are in a position where they have qualified for the Final tournament in Madrid, but the All Blacks Sevens will be eyeing consecutive tournament wins in Singapore while the Black Ferns Sevens make their debut at the tournament.

Both teams welcome the return of players from injury, Kitiona Vai is set to take the field alongside his younger brother, Cody, after being sidelined with injury for almost two years. Lewis Ormond, Leroy Carter and Ngarohi McGarvey-Black are also back from injury. Only one change to the Black Ferns Sevens sees Alena Saili return from injury for her first tournament since January.

In Pool A the Black Ferns Sevens will face Canada, Ireland and Spain while the All Blacks Sevens are also drawn in Pool A with Argentina, Canada and Australia, matches kick off next Friday.
