The head-to-heads below are from the Heartland Championship, which kicked off in 2006. The kickoff time for the Buller v Wanganui match has been brought forward to 2.00pm to ensure that Wanganui makes their flight out of Hokitika post-match.

The referee appointments can be viewed here.

The official results for week one are available here. East Coast go ahead of King Country on the points table based on greater number of points scored (as they are equal on competition points, have not played each other in Round Robin, have the same Points Differential and scored the same number of tries).

Horowhenua Kapiti go ahead of Wanganui on the points table based on greater number of tries scored (they are equal on competition points, have not played each other in Round Robin and have the same Points Differential).
