Black Ferns take to inflatable field to Cure Kids

The Black Ferns squad will swap their sprigs for socks and run tomorrow’s “training session” on inflatable bouncy castles, slides and in giant sumo suits to bring some cheer to children suffering from a range of life threatening illnesses.

Black Ferns vice-Captain Victoria Grant was on the selection panel that chose Cure Kids as the official charity of New Zealand Rugby and was looking forward to meeting up with some of the charity’s ambassadors again.

“Cure Kids do an amazing job raising funds for research into life-threatening illnesses affecting New Zealand kids and despite many of their ambassadors being very sick, they’re still kids who love having fun.

“The girls really appreciate the support we get from Cure Kids and are looking forward to clowning around with the kids for an afternoon.”
