Adam Whitelock

A well-balanced and strong runner, Adam Whitelock is a valuable member of the Canterbury and Crusaders teams. The younger brother of George Whitelock, Adam moved from Manawatu to study accountancy at the University of Canterbury in 2006, paving the way for George and also brothers Sam and Luke to make the shift.

Whitelock got the call up for the Glasgow and London legs of the 2013/14 IRB World Sevens Circuit with coach Gordon Tietjens saying he was won the spot through his reputation as being the fittest player in the Crusaders squad.  "Fitness and conditioning are so important at this level and his fitness probably won him his spot. He is a very capable player and this gives us more depth as well as being a great opportunity for Adam to pursue a spot in the Commonwealth Games team."
