Matthew Lansdown

21 YEAR OLD Matt Lansdown will be an invaluable utility player who can play either in the inside backs or outside. He made his debut for the Waikato Mitre 10 Cup side against Thames Valley in 2016, and has since added 18 more appearances, including starting at fullback for the match against Taranaki in week four of the competition where they won the Ranfurly Shield.

He has been a member of the Chiefs’ Development squad since 2016, as he looks to break into the Investec Super Rugby competition team. He was also selected to attend the New Zealand U20 development camp in 2017 in the build up to the World Rugby Under 20 Championships in Georgia this year.
