IMPRESSIVE OUTSIDE BACK Shaun Stevenson is back for his second campaign with the Maori All Blacks, after scoring a try on debut off the bench in the 51-9 victory against Canada. He is a highly skilled player with a tactical awareness and gameplay that belies his age.
Stevenson began his provincial career with Waikato in 2015 when he debuted against Tasman. He started all 10 games during that season, scoring four tries. In 2016, Stevenson announced he was moving back home to North Harbour, joining the newly promoted Premiership side for the 2017 season.
Lighting up the backline for the Chiefs, Stevenson has scored 30 points in 24 games since his debut in 2016 against the Crusaders. In 2017 he won the Brisbane Global Rugby Tens player of the tournament.
