Malakai Fekitoa

From teenage talent to explosive All Blacks midfielder, Malakai Fekitoa combines powerful running and abrasive defence in a potentially devastating package.

The All Blacks selectors came calling in 2014 after the Tongan-born Fekitoa went from strength to strength in his debut season for the Highlanders. He ended the year with eight Test caps and two tries.

Remarkably, his elevation to the All Blacks and his debut against England in the June Steinlager Series, came just four months after he entered Super Rugby.

A product of Wesley College, which also produced All Blacks Jonah Lomu and Frank Halai, Fekitoa is also a talented sevens player and was Player of the Tournament at the 2011 National Sevens.
