Jarrad Hoeata

A hard working loose forward with an imposing physical presence that comes in particularly useful at lineout time and on either side of the scrum, Jarrad Hoeata – a member of both the  Ngati Kahungunu and Ngai Tuhoe iwi – is one of the longest-serving Maori All Blacks in the current squad, having made his debut in 2007 against Ireland A.

In 2011 he played in three Tests for the All Blacks – he was the team’s only debutant that year - and has also been part of the All Blacks Sevens team, where he showcased his speed.

Hoeata took part in all three Maori All Blacks matches on the team’s European Tour in 2012.
