One of the most experienced players in the squad (and the Black Ferns second-most-capped player behind Anna Richards, who earned 49 caps), Emma Jensen has been part of Women's Rugby World Cup campaigns in 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014, has been playing first class rugby since 2002. In 2014, she shared halfback duties with teammate Kendra Cocksedge, with Jensen starting four matches and coming off the bench in five.
A physical education teacher and former hockey representative as well, Jensen has an impressive work ethic, is formidable with the ball in hand and has scored well over 200 points for Auckland.
