An experienced campaigner, the impressive Eloise Blackwell has established herself as a vital part of the Black Ferns lineout. She had a big 2014 in the big jersey – appearing in eight of the Black Ferns’ nine Tests, which she followed up with three appearances at the International Super Series in Canada last year.
Originally from Great Barrier Island, a move to the Ponsonby Club – the rugby starting point for many great New Zealand players - provided a catalyst for an impressive career in the Auckland colours. Blackwell already has some useful experience having made her first class debut in 2009 as an 18-year-old.
