Atiga hurt his left hamstring in the game against Manu Samoa last Friday and aggravated it at training today.
He is replaced by North Harbour’s Viliame Waqaseduadua, who comes in on the right wing with Waikato’s Sosene Anesi moving to fullback.
Saturday’s game starts at 4.30pm and is the second match of the double-header at Yarrow Stadium in New Plymouth. Manu Samoa and Japan kick off the day’s action at 2.00pm.
Both matches will be televised live on Sky Sport 1 and the Rugby Channel.
