QUICK TAP: PLAY AND WIN WITH THE ALL BLACKS 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

The best the Black Ferns Sevens could finish from there was fifth place and they made no mistake with big wins over Spain (43-0) and France (24-0).

Reigning Olympic Champions Australia laid the marker for the 2017/18 Sevens World Series by going unbeaten across the two days in Dubai and thrashing USA 34-0 in the final.
Despite the fifth-place finish, there were plenty of positives to take out of the tournament for coach Allan Bunting. Potent try-scorers Portia Woodman and Michaela Blyde had lost none of their try-scoring touch with Woodman being named in the tournament dream team. Kayla McAlister was also good on her return to the side after a year away.

Next up for the side is the Sydney Sevens on 26-28 January.
