The All Blacks have been nominated for their victory over Australia at Eden Park in October which secured a Tier one record of 18 straight Test victories.

QUICK TAP: THE 2016 NEW ZEALAND RUGBY FORM FIFTEEN

The 37-10 victory catapulted the All Blacks into uncharted territory for a Tier one nation and ensured that the All Blacks stay unbeaten at Eden Park for 37 games since losing to France 23-20 in 1994.

The public will have a tough choice selecting the favourite moment of 2016 with other moments including Brendon McCullum’s record-breaking century against Australia, Eliza McCartney’s pole vaulting bronze medal, Liam Malone’s 200 metres gold medal, Joseph Parker winning the WBO Heavyweight boxing championship and many more moments.

Voting is now open to the public, you can vote once a day until 9.00pm on Thursday 9 February.

The winner will be announced at the 54th Halberg Awards on Thursday 9 February 2017 at Vector Arena in Auckland and televised live on SKY SPORT from 8pm.

The All Blacks also feature in the Coach of the Year category with All Blacks coach Steve Hansen nominated alongside Gordon Walker (canoeing), Hamish Willcox (Yachting) and Jeremy McColl (Athletics).
