Carter's Racing 92 will host the three-time champions Toulon in the quarter-finals which include five English clubs. It is the first time since 1997-98 that no representative from Ireland, Wales or Scotland side has been included in the play-offs.

Ulster had a chance to get into the play-offs as one of the best losers but when Stade Francais beat Leicester, who had already qualified, 36-21, they were eliminated.

Saracens will host Northampton Saints, Wasps, for whom Charles Piutau and Frank Halai play, will host Exeter while Aaron Mauger's Leicester side will host Stade Francais.

In the European Challenge Cup, Nick Evans' Harlequins will host London Irish, Grenoble will host Pat Lam's Connacht, Sale will host Monpellier and Gloucester will host Newport.
