Former Herald journalist Terry McLean will also be inducted.
The Hall of Fame is being integrated with the International Rugby Hall of Fame to create one definitive celebration of rugby.
This Friday’s induction is the first of a series of celebrations which will see many taking place around the world in the lead-up to Rugby World Cup 2015 which will complete the process of inducting the 37 players.
