BNZ Future Stars offers a unique chance for the game’s youngest fans to have their name printed on the front of a player’s jersey when they take the field for matches on May 23 and 24. All 115 jerseys will be given to the BNZ Future Stars following the Round 15 matches.
BNZ is proud to be backing one of New Zealand’s most enduring charities. “For over 100 years Plunket has been there for New Zealand families, and in that time has nurtured more than their fair share of outstanding sports people,” BNZ chief marketing officer Craig Herbison says, “we’re excited to put a new spin on Round 15 this year, and give all rugby proud Kiwis the chance to have their chosen child’s name run out on the field”.
There are two ways young fans can become BNZ Future Stars; an online ballot and 15 TradeMe auctions.
One hundred jerseys are up for grabs in the online ballot. Simply pick your team, enter your chosen child’s details, and create your personalised virtual jersey at www.bnzfuturestars.co.nz.
For those who want to guarantee their selection in the team, 15 jerseys will also be auctioned on TradeMe, with all proceeds going to the great work Plunket does with all the country’s future stars.
Enter the online ballot, track the auctions and create your own virtual jersey to print or share at www.bnzfuturestars.co.nz.
The ballot and bidding for the BNZ Future Stars will go live at 8.30am on Thursday 17 April and will run through to Monday April 28.
This is the third year that BNZ has partnered with Plunket for the Investec Super Rugby Round 15, previously swapping their logo for the charity’s.
Round 15 of the competition will see the Blues take on the Sharks at North Harbour Stadium on Friday 23 May, while Saturday 24 May sees the Highlanders v Crusaders at Forsyth Barr Stadium and Hurricanes v Chiefs at Westpac Stadium. Both Saturday games will provide valuable points as they contest the BNZ Cup – awarded to the New Zealand team with the most competition points from derby matches.
