Chiefs know they must lift this week

Utility back Andrew Horrell said the requirement ahead of the Rebels in Hamilton on Saturday was obvious. Get back to ground quickly and look to put the problems that caused the South African frustrations behind them.
Confidence wasn't an issue, he said. That had been borne out by the manner in which the side twice came back from the dead to claim draws.
"Coming back to draw games you looked to be losing doesn't dampen your confidence, it strengthens it," he said.
While they had nailed finishing, it was their starts that were the issue.
"We have to look at ourselves individually and I am not too sure that we were executing as we intended," he said.
Horrell, who has been part of the two Super Rugby-winning sides of the last two years, said the situation within the team did not feel any different this year.
A consistent policy the Chiefs have had has been to back players coming in to cover for more experienced players when they are injured.
That will possibly be put to its greatest test at the weekend with the side losing the services of Aaron Cruden with a hand injury.
"Aaron is a world-class player but we have got good depth and we back whoever comes in to do his job," he said.
"We've got a chance to turn things around this weekend and it will show the quality of the side whether we can bounce back."
Given the nature of the way in which some of the Australian teams have surprised this year Horrell said it just bore out the cliché so often heard that any time can beat any other on their day.
But Horrell said that was even more the case this year as had already been seen.
"It is anyone's game on Saturday," he said.
Horrell has been enjoying the starting opportunities he has received this year and it would be a case of stepping up, both for him and the team, over the next few weeks because it was clear, they had to get better.
