Canterbury schools go 'red and black' in support of their team and James Mortimer     12 Sep 2013

Schools involved in the Canterbury Rugby Union’s ‘Adopt a School’ initiative this year have been invited to participate in Red and Black Day, with their adopted players coming along to judge the best-dressed class. Winners from each school will then be invited to attend a ‘Captain’s Run’ training session at AMI Stadium prior to the Canterbury vs Manawatu game.

Today's Red and Black Day kicks off the kid-focused festivities planned for the Canterbury vs Otago match this Saturday afternoon. Young fans are encouraged to come along early to make the most of the additional entertainment at the stadium, including a bouncy castle and face-painting, and to wear their best red and black outfits for a chance to win the ‘Best-Dressed Canterbury Kid’ competition.
