Some of the All Blacks will also be paying a very special surprise visit to a Wellington business who demonstrated outstanding support of the men in Black, while the team will also host the winning classroom at the team’s Captain’s Run of a Wellington City Council competition to design flags to decorate the city.
Darren Shand, All Blacks Manager said the team was looking forward to spending some time with fans in advance of the sold out Bledisloe Test.
“The team’s focus will certainly be on preparing for Saturday’s return game but they also will look forward to getting out and mixing with fans as much as possible and it’s also great to see so many other activities planned that will build excitement over the week.”
The festivities kick off with the two day Rippa Rugby Championship getting underway on Monday 19 August at Wakefield Park. The 20 teams are made up of year five and six boys and girls who qualified from regional tournaments earlier in the year. The Bledisloe Cup and other trophies will be on public display at Wakefield Park on Tuesday between 10am and 2pm, while Wellington Airport will also host the iconic trophy on Thursday 22 August between 2pm and 4pm.

"The Bledisloe Test is one of the most eagerly awaited games in international rugby and it’s great to see Wellington really get behind their hosting of the Test with the addition of a festival of activity for fans and the wider Wellington community," said New Zealand Rugby General Manager Professional Rugby Neil Sorensen.
"Together with Wellington Rugby and Wellington City Council we’ll ensure the build-up to the encounter against Australia in the Investec Rugby Championship is fitting for this eagerly awaited Test.”
