Retallick cleared for Chiefs, despite the moonboot

The All Black regular was in doubt, but now returns to bolster his team against a Crusaders pack with eight capped internationals, and the other two members of the June International selections for the second row against France.

A sprained ankle has kept him out, but the break after the Blues win at Eden Park has allowed him to be cleared.

He told the Waikato Times that the battle between the two sides was about who was able to turn up on the day.

"When we went down there a couple of weeks ago they really set the standard of where we need to be at the weekend," he said.

"We know what they are going to bring and probably a little bit more."

"We talked a big game that week and we knew what we needed to do but we just didn't execute it and they did.
