Having taken down the Highlanders away, the Chiefs return home to welcome a Cheetahs side beaten by the Sharks, but they remain an outfit that heralded their intentions again to be an attacking force, with Johan Goosen and his crew almost chasing down the Sharks in the City of Roses.

Goosen missed the back end of the 2012 season with injury, and the Cheetahs attacking efficiency suffered as a consequence.

The Chiefs will hope to welcome some heavy artillery up front, with hookers Hika Elliot and Mah Schwalger chances to return.

Elliot, who fought earlier this year and missed the season opener with a calf injury, is hopeful of a comeback in the next week or two.

Further good news sees Richard Kahui beginning his final steps to a comeback from his shoulder injury, with the midfielder beginning to test his troublesome shoulder with tackling drills this week.
