Some of the most inspiring names in New Zealand rugby have been lent to the new National Under 19 Tournament with the tournament itself named in honour of former All Blacks captain and New Zealand Rugby (NZR) chairman Jock Hobbs.
2016 is the third year in a row Taupo will host the Jock Hobbs Memorial National U19 tournament from 14th-21st September.
Matches will be played on 15th, 18th and 21st September at Owen Delany Park.
The tournament comprises 16 seeded teams, one from each of the Mitre 10 Cup Provincial Unions, a second team from Auckland Rugby and a representative team from the 14 Mitre 10 Heartland Unions.
Teams in the top division will be competing for the honour of winning the tournament cup named after former All Blacks captain and recently retired NZR director Graham Mourie.
